Quality & Sustainability

Archival Paper ~ Every original work is brought to life on Arches hot or cold-pressed, 140lb/300gsm, 100% cotton, paper. Founded in 1492, Arches has been the choice of masters since. Using traditional cylinder-mold manufacturing machines, the fibers deposit evenly for stability and durability, similar to handmade paper. Arches provides strength, prevents yellowing or brittleness over time like wood pulp paper, and each sheet is inspected by hand, gelatinized to the core, allowing the pages to withstand heavy washes, scratches and erasing.

Paint ~ Canadian made in Regina, Saskatchewan, Stoneground Paint is traditionally made watercolour in small batches, using the highest quality pigments, gum arabic, authentic minerals, micas and locally sourced wildflower honey from the prairies; Without fillers, extenders and preservative free. Genuine, ethically sourced minerals such as true Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan, Malachite (Copper), Felsite, Graphite, Viviante, and Pink Pipestone (Catlinite) breathe life in to every stroke, achieving a naturalism that synthetic alternatives simply cannot replicate.

Sketching ~ Professional grade Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils, for sketching subjects without leaving pencil marks behind. Made with high quality clay or talc to control the hardness of the lead, they allow for creamy, beautiful dry drawing or transformative washes with a brush. They step up the hyper realism of wildlife paintings and can reach those subtle tiny areas that paint sometimes is unable to reach.

With the highest quality, professional grade materials, the artwork speaks for itself; All materials are non toxic, acid free, eco friendly, sustainably made to last generations. I ensure that the vibrant ‘colours you Crave’ remain lightfast and beautiful for decades.

About The Artist

Step into a realm where artistry transcends the ordinary. Enjoy hand painted watercolour designs by Diana Craveiro, located on Vancouver Island, where the Rocky Mountains meet the Salish sea. Born and raised in Mill Bay, we are lucky to live, work and play in the temperate rain forest of the Pacific Northwest.

Many pieces combine the beautiful, rich colours of our local flora and fauna located here in British Columbia, and across Canada, for you to enjoy for years to come. Each piece captures the true essence and soul of your pets and wildlife in paintings through hyper realism, and wet on dry techniques.

At Crave Custom Creations, we try to use well made, sustainable products and materials that are made to last.

Art should honour the earth and elements it depicts. I integrate sustainability into my process wherever possible by using repurposed wood, recycled linen, cotton, and locally made paints. This reduces forestry waste and connects each piece back to the sacred lands of our great country of Canada.
